No performance by SRK on May 8

Shah Rukh Khan will not perform at the next IPL match between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Bangalore Royal Challengers at the Eden Gardens here on May 8, as a concrete proposal had not been given by the organisers Red Chillies Entertainment to the Kolkata Police."They gave a verbal proposal to organise an entertainment programme, but we asked for a concrete proposal which they failed to give within the stipulated time," Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters), Vineet Goyal said.The Kolkata Police were told that the entertainment programme will be held within the fencing area before the 'J' block and accordingly tickets for the block were not sold, the police said.Later Red Chillies, owned by Shah Rukh, informed the police that it would be held below the sightscreen before the 'F' Block, but no concrete proposal has been given so far, Goyal said."If they had given the proposal, we would have made arrangements, but now it is too late for the next match," Goyal said.
